Nova290 – The Natural Choice.

Natural Refrigerant

The indoor-installed NovaCool 290 chilled water station, operating with a natural refrigerant, is an environmentally friendly solution for providing cooling in buildings. The R290 refrigerant complies with the strictest environmental and F-gas regulations, making it a safe choice for the long term. The Global Warming Potential (GWP) of the natural refrigerant R290 is only 0,02.

Safety Concept

The NovaCool 290 chilled water station is designed specifically for the R290 refrigerant. Its sealed frame ensures that no refrigerant leaks outside the unit, even in the event of a malfunction. The safety concept includes venting the refrigerant to the outdoors in case of a leak. The unit delivery includes automation functions and an exhaust fan to ensure safe operation.

Energy Efficient

The NovaCool 290 features four compressors, enabling an energy-efficient four-stage capacity control. At partial load, only the compressors required to produce the desired cooling capacity are in operation. The system’s efficiency has been enhanced through optimized component selection, and energy efficiency can be further improved by integrating free cooling, which utilizes cold outdoor air for cooling production.

Reliable and Site-Specific

The units are manufactured and factory-tested in Finland, ensuring they are delivered to the customer as a compact, ready-to-use system. The comprehensive solution can be equipped with automation, electrical components, and other accessories to meet the specific requirements of the installation site. The unit is factory-configured to match the required water circuit specifications, enabling cooling at multiple temperature levels.

Cost-Effective Installation

The NovaCool 290 chilled water station enables a short installation time on-site, providing significant time savings compared to traditional water-cooling systems assembled on-site. The streamlined installation process is facilitated by high-quality documentation from the design phase, a comprehensive factory-built system, and thorough system testing and operational verification conducted at the factory.

Free Cooling

The unit can be integrated with a free cooling system, reducing the operating time of mechanical cooling and achieving significant energy savings.
